Northern Dance Network and New Zealand Dance Festival Trust (Tempo) are excited to work on a research project that centres around the future well-being of contemporary dance communities of Tāmaki Makaurau.
We invite dance innovators from throughout Auckland to participate in the next steps of the enquiry.

at Te Noho Kotahitanga Marae, UNITEC
The focus of the hui is engaging with the data collected. Come along and help us to develop options for better sustaining dance in Auckland over the next few years.

Who is behind Tāmaki Makaurau Dance Enquiry?
TMDE Advisory Rōpū/Group members are Carrie Rae Cunningham (General Manager - Massive Company, independent dance producer), Jahra Wasasala (movement artist, world-builder, poet, and community facilitator), Paul Young (Lecturer Unitec, NZDFT - Board member) and Sefa Enari (Director - Pacific Dance Festival).
Susan Jordan (President - NDN) is overseeing the enquiry. The research team is Elisabeth Vaneveld (Executive Chair - NZDFT), Aaron Huata (NZDFT - Board member) and Deborah Fletcher (independent dance producer).
