Northern Dance Network and New Zealand Dance Festival Trust are excited to be working together on a research project funded by Auckland Council that centres on the wellbeing and innovation of contemporary dance communities in Tāmaki Makaurau.
The enquiry is looking into how our city’s dance ecology might be strengthened and what is needed to support the sustainable development of dance innovators working in Tāmaki Makaurau.
Over the coming weeks and months we would love you to participate in the project’s research events.
Participation opportunities include in-person creative workshops to gather perspectives, ideas and experiences. We’re keen to explore how dance-makers working in Tāmaki Makaurau can be better resourced.
The results of our enquiry will help shape career development and practical resources for dance innovators over the next few years.
We warmly invite your thoughts and ideas as you are key to shaping what’s needed to support dance innovators to reach full potential.
